About the Library Staff
Head Librarian: Holland Kessinger, MLIS
Holland holds a Masters of Library and Information Science degree and has over 15 years experience as a professional librarian. Being a solo librarian at MOPA introduced her to all aspects of running a library, and her time at the San Diego Public Library saw her providing a wide variety of library services and programs to a large, diverse community. Her job prior to Herrick Library was as Supervising Librarian at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego Library where she managed daily operations of the Depot Library, supervised staff, and implemented many exciting library programs. Holland enjoys attending the track meets and school theater productions of her two teenagers, and taking care of two fluffy white cats, Gilligan and Skipper. She is an avid reader, loves the ocean and live music, and just recently took up archery.
The library assistants will answer your questions about the library and will help you obtain reliable resources to meet your health information needs.
